Substance-induced psychosis is caused by the effects of substance use like alcohol, medications, and toxins. Psychotic symptoms always occur after substance intoxication to a certain level.Further; they can come as a result of withdrawal from alcohol, sedatives, hypnotics and other unknown medications. Euphoria and increased social confidence
It’s associated with consumption of alcohol and certain drugs. One 
gets an extreme degree of happiness which is exaggerated. It can further be described as intense happiness and joy more than what you can find in a normal person. The intense state of transcendent happiness combined with an overwhelming sense of contentment is experienced due to the continued use of the substance.
Disorganized Speech
It is the frequent derailment or incoherence of words. This psychotic symptom may last for weeks, months, and even years due to mild to the moderate intoxication of cocaine and other drugs. When one uses them in excess intoxication increases, attention is affected, concentration, and basic human functioning.
Violent behaviors are symptoms of substance-induced psychosis
One can be hostile for some time so long as the substance is within the body. The behavior can be determined by the amount or dosage, duration of usage and frequency of administration. If the continuous signs of the disturbance persist for at least six months, this should be treated as a substance-induced psychotic disorder (SIPD).
